Introducing Fairhaven Wealth!

I've worked for many years in the legal and financial services industries. Most recently I've worked as a lawyer providing specialist trust services and asset planning advice.

I have for many years worked with financial advisers. I've had the privilege of working with hundreds of advisers, and have in many ways acted as an "adviser of advisers". I've pursued the same qualifications that advisers have and maintained my knowledge so that I can understand what they do and speak their language.

Reading this blog, you can see how passionate I am about good quality financial advice.

And now, I throw my hat in the ring.

I have established a financial advice business, Fairhaven Wealth, to provide independent, unbiased, unconflicted, high quality advice to clients in Christchurch, to help them achieve their financial goals and manage their risks.

I have taken pains to ensure that Fairhaven Wealth's business model ensures that my interests are aligned with my clients, and with providing the highest quality financial advice.

The only fees that we charge are fees that we receive from clients. We charge fixed fees, negotiated up front with clients. We don't receive commission and we don't receive income that is based as a percentage of investments.

The website for Fairhaven Wealth is You can contact me to discuss the services that we offer at or by calling me on 021 0269 2213.

I will continue to operate the New Zealand Wealth and Risk blog separately. This gives me a greater degree of flexibility to discuss topics that aren't 100% related to the services that Fairhaven Wealth offers.
