Parents with young kids and iOS devices (iPhones/iPads) – are you familiar with “Guided Access”? It’s a fantastic feature which means that you can disable any of the iPhone/iPad physical buttons or even parts of the screen while your child is using it. You want them to be able to swipe through your photos or videos but not be able to delete any of them? Easy. Do you have an app that they love to use but you don’t want them to close out of it or select one of the silly buttons the app developer placed on the screen? Easily fixed with Guided Access.
You can turn Guided Access on by selecting Settings > General > Accessibility > Guided Access. You fire it up by selecting the home button three times, and you close it by doing the same and entering a pin. Highly recommended if you let your kids use your iDevices.
